Hi, I have installed a Carvox -999 into my 2000 Dodge Dakota.  When using the remote start the truck starts, the starter continues to run then the truck shuts off and does the whole thing over again.  I was told to run a jumper from the second ignition wire to the third ignition wire, just want to make sure that will work before I try it.

Your truck has three ignition wires and one accessory wire, they all should be energized during remote start.

Ignitions: Dark Blue, BLACK/ Orange, GREEN/ Red
Accessory: BLACK/ White

These wires should all be energized, and isolated. Meaning, do not run a jumper between any of them, feed them individually. I am not familiar with the CarVox system, but most systems on the market now have a low current negative output for ignition that you would use to activate a relay for the third ignition wire.

You said that the car continues to crank, this indicates that the remote starter does not know the truck is running. Did you hook up a tachometer connection?
