Remote Start, and alarm help

I  have been installing an alarm system with keyless entry, and remote start, and before I start with the remote start wiring i wanted to know if it would help/be a good idea to use diodes on the output from the alarm output wires to acc, ignition #1 and starter wire, to prevent power from going back through the wires coming out of the control unit. I'm not sure if it uses those wires to sense anything or not. Also, the diodes I have are only 1amp i believe. I'm pretty sure I would need to put more than one diode together if I use them to prevent the diodes from burning out. The instructions dont mention anything about using diodes, so I would assume that it would be safe just to wire them up as the diagram shows.

The other problem I have is with the parkinglights. The alarm system has the output for the parkinglights, but it doesnt seem to work, I tried using a relay, hooked to the siren output, so when the siren triggers, the relay activates, thus giving power to the parkinglights, only problem is the siren output clicks off and on too fast, and the parking lights dont stay on long enough to really notice them.

Oh, and for referance, the alarm/remote start system is a Delta  Pro-5005 Combo, has the 2 way fm lcd remote. I have also seen this exact same system, but under the name of Commando instead of delta.

No need to install diodes inline of the input wires. A diode will no thing as far as blocking current on these wires. The units are designed to have power going into them as there are internal relays that protect the unit from possible surges and also the fuse on the main line will protect the CPU of the RS unit.

The parking light output wire should be hooke dup to the parking light wire of the vehicle. No relay is required unless you are using the relay to reverse the polarity of the parking light output of the unit.

I've checked the parkinglight output with a multimeter (cant wait till i finally get my DMM so i dont have to barrow my dads analog meter), and it didn't show any change or voltage when it should have. It has a fuse inline on the wire, I can't be sure if the fuse is good or not, didn't think to look, it shouldn't be bad though.

As far as the remote start part, I'm pretty sure that the wires i mentioned are output wires, although to program the control unit, it mentions to turn on the ignition, so im assuming one of the wires does turn into a input. there are too wires that are the same, but in seperate bundles, the one bundle of larger gauge wires has 2 12v+ wires with fuses, then the wires for acc, ignition and starter. the smaller gauge wire in the other bundle is "Ignition switch power 12v+" that one maybe the wire that tells the control unit to go into programming mode. One other thing, theres a wire thats called "Ground output when runing" I'm guessing that one can just go to any good ground.
