Hello car audio fans, if you are like myself, you enjoy playing your set up. The one you just finished the new speaker pods, new enclosure, amp Install, ect ect. In my state, I have 8am to 10pm to play music. I rarely play high volume in residential areas. Especially in the morning, or late night. But when the midmorning/afternoon/evening hits and I'm in town, I like to turn it up. I often get looks when I approach traffic waiting vehicals, so I turn it down a bit. When I pull up to the light and no one is there, I leave it be. Near the elderly, I turn it down. But its not possible to visually scan each vehical to see who is who. I can go on and on about scenerios. my question is... What are the edicates in public? I am open to suggestions aswell as your personal scenerios. Please shed some light.

In the Big City, there are noise ordinances.  They will give you a ticket.  Luckily for us, our customers think that a noise ordinance ticket gives them street cred.

Not searching for street credibility, more like the unwritten rules in car audio courtesy towards the public.

"weaksauce" chill out, not everyone one this forum sits around all day just waiting to reply to every post.lol

Anyway as far as public etiquette goes, respect others and get respected back. Im an part time installer, when ever i have scheduled appointments I notify my neighbors of possible high volumes and alarm sirens going off. trust me, they let me know when it gets out of hand and i turn it down. I enjoy my loud system as the next enthusiast, but i follow some basic rules: no loud volumes in school zones, residential areas, and i always turn it way down at stop lights. Sometimes playing it loud can attract the wrong attention.Owning and enjoying some car audio and using some common sense can go a long way. Now a days im starting to value my hearing anyway.

Go BIG or go Home                                    it might not be broke, but lets fix it anyway

Addicted? Before taking a swipe at Mr. I educate (not edicate) yourself.
Get out more meet people so you can talk to them and turn the volume down but most importantly, learn to use a spell check.
