I've been installing sensors for a while now,but i've noticed that not all sensors can work for metal applications, and i wanted to find out why? If anyone is knowledgeable about this i would appreciate any input.

Steelmate do plastic spacers in their kits, I've been installing the damn things for 3 weeks solid, in the field, 3 + a day. Horrible job, arms mangled, eyes full of doodie.
