Typically the air bags are supervised meaning that if you simply remove them the light will come on. On many cars it is as simple as putting the CORRECT resistor across the wire harness.

Is it really do-able Kevin, Darren don't you have annual tests?
By the way Kevin, hopefully early congratulations.

I've seen people replace seats with airbags in them for racing seats with no airbags. I don't think I've ever seen anyone just remove a dash airbag or a curtain airbag.

When swapping out seats that is when I have seen people use resistors to keep the airbag light from coming on.

Thank you Howie!

Disconnect battery wait 20 mins, and or flash the terminals together, measure the resistance at those plugs, replace with matched resistor, re-connect battery and away you go.
After this my next post will probably be as a rookie.
