I'm looking for a good, permanent adhesive to use on ABS and other plastics, other than hot glue.  Hot glue is great but it doesn't work everywhere and tends to get soft when it gets really hot.  Just wondered what everyone else used?  Some sort of super glue?

It'd be great if I could find something that would work for other types of materials found in a vehicle as well, such as vinyl, PVC, rubber, and maybe even metal;  but the main requirement is just that it works well on plastics.

Whenever I have to glue ABS/plastic I use high strength epoxy. It’s messy to work with and expensive but gets the job done.  And you never have to worry about the bond breaking.

I use JB Weld two-part epoxy for plastics. I don't use hot glue anymore because I'm tired of having things fall during hot Iowa summers when the glue melts and freezing cold winters when the glue gets too brittle to hold. I've never had anything come apart with that stuff. The downside is that it's expensive, but you get what you pay for.
