I am somewhat new to installing stereo equipment.  I want to install a dvd player under the passenger seat of my car.  Their is a fuse box by the feet on the passenger side.  How do I connect a power cable to the fuse box.  I have heard of a special fuse that coverts one fuse to two.  Any suggetions would be great.

Thanks

Bussmann makes a wiring harness that turns a single ATC fuse slot into two fused connections, one with the fuse, and one with a wire.  I couldn't find it anywhere online although I know I've seen them at places in the past, but they have a picture and description of it on page 9 of this pdf file.

Here is a place where you can order pretty much the same thing. I use these all the time and they are invaluable to me. This place has good service and fairly quick shipping.
Another option is to buy fuse taps, which connect to the load side of the fuse's blade. I've personally never been a huge fan of fuse taps, but that's just me.

This may be another stupid question but the LITTELFUSE ADD-A-CIRCUIT FUSEHOLDER says it has a 10 amp max.  Would this work with a 12 volt power supply

yes. Don't put more than a 10 amp fuse in the second circuit.
