It appears that after about 10 years as Clifford, 3 as DEI and 3 as part of Armour Automotive, DEI product in the UK is now sold through a single car audio retailer/wholesaler in West London, or how the mighty has fallen, or blame the recession, or blame awful marketing (should have kept to the one known and respected brand, Clifford) etc.
Good by alarm R/S work unless I import them from the US.

Serves them right. With an attitude that they're invincible and that they're the best brand in the world....... With too many other companies making better products and marketing themselves better, it was a matter of time.

Coupled up with a recession and everything now the same as your side of the pond, Ford Mondeo /Focus/Fiesta same as the US versions, not just Ford, Buick Regal = a Vauxhall/Opel and I can't even remember its name, I'll probably never get to work on it! = Keyless go + here factory Cat 1 alarms, the market is finished.

Howie, don't give up, the best will remain.   Yes the factory is trying to gobble up all the toys leaving us guys out of work, but I find the more they add, the more they mess up.  Not to mention the quality of stuff they use is poor, 2-3 year life span.  Yes, work has changed from putting new to trouble shooting factory.  There has been a shift to older cars, current working on three e30 M3, cost is lower than new cars to buy and maintain.  Our Prime Minister still doesn't realize there is a recession.  World car will be the norm, but crap is crap and more expensive ones are harder to install in, but I will say it is easier to sell better equipment with all the extras.

I don't know about internal Canadian politics but there are only 3 countries that I know haven't been affected by the recession, Israel Australia and New Zealand, Israel will get hit by the downturn in high value military electronics post Iraq and Afghanistan, unless they get their newly discovered oil and gas fields on line, Oz and NZ don't have the populations to bring up other markets.
Just got to find a small company selling lots of trackers and get to contract with them.
