i bought and had a screen installed in my wifes car dont ask why lol any way the problem is the memory donsnt work is there any way to make it work. as of right now i dont know the name or number of the screen but will get them if any one knows please let me know i cant think of a way to do it thanks in advance

Yes find out what the problem is and fix it that might just mean replacing the memory or a chip or be as simple as reconnecting something that method or parts needed will depend on what screen it is and if its a windscreen it probably isnt a memory problem but you might want to check the wipers or washer bottle instead lol feel free to ignore that latter advise

why are you even posting without telling us the make, model and year of the vehicle plus make and model of the screen and by the way define "screen", single screen, multimedia, single DIN fold out, 2 DIN etc.
Also it ain't our problem, it's yours or the installers.
It's a bit like buying a second hand dishwasher with problems but you can't tell us the make model or what the problem is.
No memory, define please.

the screen is a double din boyo AVN700a its in a 05 focus the problem is, its like the 12volt wire the one that keeps memory for the clock and the radio isnt connected but it is. every time i want to use the screen i have to push the reset button on the screen to get it to come on.

Test that wire at the set. Is it red or yellow?
Memory wire should be yellow, ACC red.
Possibly other way round on the Ford so test.

There are three wires you should check to ensure they are connected correctly. Use a Digital
Multi Meter. ( And of course Howard was correct with the wire colors and function!  )
The Black wire should go to a good chassis ground source.
The Red wire should go to an ignition Accessory source. An Accessory wire will test as follows :
OFF ( 0 Volts ) while vehicle is OFF or key in ignition switch at OFF position.
ON ( +12 Volts ) with key in ignition switch at ACC & ON positions.
OFF with key in ignition switch in START position.
The Yellow wire should go to a +12V constant power source. This wire will hold memory pre-sets if
they are volatile.
Also remove any fuses in the Red or Yellow wires and test them with a DMM. ------------- Soldering is fun!

Of course Uncle Howard was correct, EVERY aftermarket I've ever seen (except German) follows those wiring conventions.
Japanese industry aftermarket specs.

Wish we could obtain the manuals for some of the obscure Chinese product people try to install (against our advice).
