You will need the actual LED spec sheet for the LED's you plan on using to get the Forward Current and Voltage info, then just fill in this calculator to find the needed resistor value for the circuit.   https://www.ledsupply.com/reca.php

Here is another calculator for multiple LED circuits :  https://ledcalculator.net/

Soldering is fun!

And you may as well do it with two 12V strings in series (hence the LED voltage is 24V for that calculator).

But you could also connect three in series direct to the 32V (DC) and see if that is okay. Depending on the LEDs, 32V may be fine.

Thanks guys, the light is already made up, it's round and it's 130cm, will have a go at using the calculator, thanks

Hi all

I have bought 3 squares that have 16 leds on them that are 12 volt each, if i was to hook these up in series  would that give me 32 volt?

Thanks

3 x 12V = 36V but 32V might be ok.

Thanks everyone for the input, I did wire it up in series which it gave me 36 volt but it didn't work so I did 2, and the other 1 I piggy back to 1 other, it work great ;), cheers
