I have had a wiring problem ever since i installed my head unit, before that i it was the factory cd player. the problem is since i installed it, my parking lights are always on as long as the key is on. it's like it bypassed the switch for the parking lights. i used a Scosche HA08B / HA08 adapter. I would really appreciate any help thank you

Sounds like the ACC or other 12v connection might be somehow tied in with the parking light wire from the original stereo harness. Do the parking light automatically turn on when your turn the key to the first click (ACC)?
Even if the radio is off? Whether the engine is running or not?
The illumination wire is red at the factory harness. Is that tied somehow with WHITE/ red ACC wire?

yes, the previous owner had a key-less entry installed, and I'm think it was done at a local shop, and needless to say they are not in business anymore lol. if that has anything to do with it im stumped

Keyless entry systems generally doesn't tie into IGN or ACC wires to work. Usually just 12v constant, ground, parking light and the door lock wires. The parking light wire in that setup is to make them flash when locking or unlocking the car.
Since you mentioned this issues happening after installing a new head unit and only when the key is on, I would check that wiring first.

i will take a look at it tomorrow and see how i have it wired, not sure where i went wrong, but i think it had something to do with a yellow wire i was having problems with doing the install. could the pins have been wrong in the scosche adapter ?

The pins may be wrong in the harness. Just to easily check, unplug the radio and see if the problem goes away.

Unplugged the adapter from factory harness and they don't turn on. Either the switch or key will turn them on

Also there is about 6 open spots in the adapter. I'm going to get a better look at it when I get home I just took a quick look at the wiring

So from the factory harness RED / white is connected to red on the adapter side witch I have tapped into orange. Where I'm confused is where does red go on the adapter side either my parking lights are on when the key is on or 12v constant. Then they would never go off..... Where the hell does the switch come into play lol

The switch has nothing to do with it. You are feeding power to the illumination wire at the radio harness. Remove power from the illumination wire and problem will go away.
Or purchase a Metra 70-1721 harness, rewire the radio and call it a day.

So after that the lights will work at the switch again?

I misread what you typed. You said Either where you should have typed Neither. But after you change the blown fuse, it will probably turn on with the switch.

Well disconnected the orange and now I'm not sure what fuse I'm looking for. The only only one i can think of is (day light) but there is no fuse in that spot. When i try to put one in it, it just falls out .... When i turn the switch on it clicks by the passenger side fuse box but no lights..
