My 96 Chevy Blazer will not time out the dome lights, if left "on" in manual over ride (killing the battery). This feature was later initiated in 2K and up vehicles.

Does anyone know if a TR7 can be wired into the circuit to prevent this problem.

Thanks

It should be possible. You would need to find out what kind of switching your OEM system is - they typically switch the (-) side. The easiest way to implement your feature is to set the timer up to be a delay off and connect the 12vdc output to feed the (+) side of the dome light circuit. This way, the OEM (-) switching will be untouched and the (+) feed that used to be constant will now be shut off after X minutes.

You would want both the ignition and the door pins to reset the timer. This could get interesting as the door pin is most likely (-) and the ignition is (+). It can be done though.
