I have a 2008 toyota corolla axio, right hand drive, japanese vehicle, it came with stock rear cam and head unit, i replaced it with a pioneer avh-1500dvd deck.
I have had no luck getting the camera to work, i am locating the video signal wires from the camera, however the only way i am getting a video signal is when the stock H/U is plugged in, i have tested at the camera whilst it is on, and i am not getting a 12volt feed at the camera, even though it is on and working. I am getting a single 6 volt feed at the camera, i don't want to put a 12volt feed
directly on the cam, kinda skeptical i'll mess it up.
Anybody on here ever did this? I need some help with this. Any will be appreciated. Thanks.

Toyota uses Fujitsu Ten as their OEM radio manufacturer. They do use a 6 volt camera system. You will need to provide it with 6 volts.

I figured it was something along a six volt camera. Can u help me with what would be the most practical way to supply the camera with six volts.

Use a cigarette lighter to USB device. They did one at our other location the other day and that is what they used.

You may want to solder wires to the input end. There will be 5 volts across the red and black wires of a USB cable.
