I have an install that the owner wishes to put a switch on the amp to cut it off seperately from the deck, not just signal but power, completely off . Iam wondering what options i have. can i cut signal in the remote lead with a switch and that do the trick or do i have to go in to the power lead? A relay application maybe better? all suggestions welcome .

You can put a switch on the remote wire and it will turn on and off the amp. You do not need a relay to do this and don’t need a switch on the power wire. The remote wire is what turns the amp on and off so if you cut the power to the remote wire it will turn off the amp.
