Hello, new to the forum, but have used this site for years for its wealth of information. I'm trying to wire a 12vdc gate for my driveway. Entering the driveway I have a reversing momentary rocker switch that opens and closes the gate..I also have hooked up a wireless remote to do the same. The remote will work on its own, but when I use the rocker, the power seems to bypass the actuator for the gate. 12vdc at the gate..power feeds remote module, and goes to switch, then out of switch back to gate. Any thoughts? Diode? Relay?

Without any circuit to go by, I'd suggest the rocker actuate the same relays that the remote uses. (That might require diodes.)

Unfortunately, the module for the remote is a potted circuit board. Can't get to the relays. I just don't understand why they can't be used hooked up together. One will only be used at once.

That's why a circuit diagram is so desirable.

I suggest another switch or relay to deactivate the Toggle when the remote is used.
