Hello.
I have a small USB powered 4 bladed personal comfort fan that is 5 inches in diameter.
It is USB powered. It sits on my desk and I turn it on when my face feels warm.

The problem is they don't last long.
I estimate the fan speed to be 5000rpm. (but really have no idea. It doesn't turn all that fast)
I am wondering what specifically causes these fans to fail after only a short time of use.

Is it most likely the windings in the motor, the brushes or something else?

Maybe the current supplied by USB simply isn't enough?

Thanks
