Sorry all, not really sure where the best place to post this topic is. Anyway, I'm having a battery drain issue on my truck. It's a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 that I purchased about a month ago. Parasitic Draw test is pointing me to Fuse #11, as it is drawing 1.26 amps with fuse in and ~ .1 amps with fuse out. This fuse controls, IOD, Radio, Underhood Lamp, Satelite Digital Audio receiver, and Hands Free Module. I have basically notched off all of these as the cause of my issue. I do not have an under hood lamp nor any wires for a lamp. Radio is unplugged. Truck did not come stock with sirius capabilities or premium sound system. and I have no hands free anything besides what was installed aftermarket with HU. At fist I thought is might be an interface module that is wired in to the radio harness, this is for adding navigation or factory amp usage. I cut that out and ran my own 12v switch wire to fuse box. Also noticed a XpressKit Databus All Interface Module, DBALL2, that was wired in from one of the previous owners. I'm not sure why it was exactly because I do not have remote start unless it previously did and was taken out. Dad and I have unplugged every plug and inspected damn near every wire we could find and still a draw remains, and we are planning on taking out the DBALL2 as well. Has anybody had experience with this issue at all or maybe know what I should start checking next?

The IOD fuse is also for the instrument cluster as well as the factory keyless entry receiver.

Good to know. I do not have any trouble with the cluster, no warnings lights coming up at all, and also have no problem with keyless entry either. Is it possible these are staying on or shorting after truck is shut off and I just have no clue they are?

Disconnect one at a time, check current draw.

Will try tomorrow and see what happens

If it is an aftermarket radio and you said it was unplugged. Did you unplug the harness from the radio itself? Or did you unplug the aftermarket harness from the trucks harness? Is there a plastic box anywhere on the aftermarket harness?

You probably have a SWI for the HU. I have had parasitic draw from a PAC unit that regularly killed the battery.

Yes I just unplugged the harness from the HU did not take harness off of truck harness. There was a black interface module off of aftermarket harness, crux SOOCR26, I cut out and bypassed.

Steering wheel interface? I do not have steering wheel controls so I doubt there is one. When i bought the truck an invoice with what was purchased from crutchfield was in the glove box. And a SWI is not on there.

Did you cut every wire off of the CRUX box? The harness can keep the Body Control Module powered up with only the Data wire and Ground connected. When you say you bypassed it I am imagining you cutting the red wire from the box and getting switched power from the cigarette lighter. If that is what you did, cut the wire going into it that is not Red Yellow or Black.

Everything that I have found that has been installed:

Yes I cut the whole CRUX module out and ran my own switch wire to the fuse box. I can unplug radio harness and see what my meter says if that might be keeping it powered up

No need, as long as the crux box is gone, it is not the problem I have seen.

Disconnect the battery for a minute or 2 if you have not done that since this problem.

Just ground or both cables? Ground has been disconnected for a few days

Well today I had a chance, after working nights and watching the kiddo, to finally get back to tearing stuff apart. Went straight to the cluster. First plug I pulled my amp draw dropped from 1.23 down to .37. Stays the same completely unplugged. Guessing I'll have to get a new cluster? If so, do I HAVE to purchase from dealership, or can I buy a junkyard find and have the dealership program it? EDIT: cannot buy from dealership because the 831AH cluster has been discontinued. Waiting on a call back from service dept to tell me if I can buy an ebay or elsewhere cluster and have them program.

Also noticed there is no keyless entry reciever behind cluster? Maybe the DBALL2 was installed because it came without keyless entry from factory? Still showing the .37 amps, so I'll start pulling some other fuses and see what else is drawing power. EDIT: DBALL2 does not have any control over keyless entry. Unplugged, the key still locks and unlocks truck. Maybe it is somewhere else? Service manual says it should be behind cluster.

.37 amps is normal. Once the computer shuts down you will be in an acceptable range.

Yep! Thank god I finally found it. Thanks to your help. Now onto my next problem of trying to get a new cluster in. 🤦‍♂️ Found a circuit board place online that repairs them, going to send it in and if that doesn't work I guess I'll just put the battery cut off switch back in. Sure wish Dodge clusters would auto program so all I had to do was buy one from a salvage yard and plug it in.
