I am thinking about painting the interior dash of my car and I was woundering if anyone has ever done it before. If you have, could you tell me where to by the paint, what kind it is and where you got it from? Thanks A Lot.

Plasti-kote not sure if it is spelled right. you can find it at auto-zone or possibly at any other auto parts store.

i never have but i have seen many cars like this, my tip - do not paint anything on the top of the dash, it will refect off the windshield and make it a real pain to drive.

I have done a few cars with just paint and also painted fiberglass and they both look great if you take your time and be patient. the plasti-kote does work well and so does the paint from folia-tech just remember they make the primers and clear cotes for a reason! also if yoy want to paint your dash maybe think of having a texture to the paint to break up some of the sun glare.

For the dash you can always try using a vinyl dye instead of painting. I agree with xetmes about the glare factor. It's blinding at times for you and your passenger. What we did with our panels and trim was use flexible primer and used normal automotive paint ( Dupont ) and it worked out well.

White dashes are annoying, first they reflect tons of light, then they get dirty quick, so stay away from it. Also dont cheap out on the paint because it could chip. Sem (not sure on spelling) works well. Oh yeah clean the parts real well, you should spend more time prepping than painting.
