I want clean sounding bass.  I was gonna construct a custom sealed box about 2cf and I might go with a MTX blue thunder 12" or a kicker XPL 10" with a 180 watt amp.  Would the 180watt amp be enough, it's a JBL.  Or I was considering a Jensen 150watt.  I just wanna know if the Jensen or the JBL amp will help the subs sound nice and clean.  I want it sounding real clean and I know amps really do matter, so do you think these amps will be alright.  The Jensen is the current line blue model XA2100 2channel or bridged. The JBL is the GTS180X.  I will brige these amps to put out the most for the subs.  This is also going into a 95 explorer for anyone that wants to know.

TIA.

I would recomend either speaker and the JBL amp. Unfortunately I haven't had the greatest luck with Jensen Amps, but I haven't used any of there newer models either. 2cf would be ideal for most 12" in a sealed box and a little much for a 10". I would keep it closer to 1cf  per 10" woofer. I think I would lean towards the 12 for more boom and towards the 10 for cleaner tighter bass.

Thanks, just the answer I was looking for.  I guess I just might go with the 10" to be cleaner because I am planning a DVD/Monitor setup so I can get my movies just right.  Thanks again.  Much appreciated.
