Can anyone help a car audio newbie? I'm installing a amp/sub and don't know where to hookup the remote wire. No preamp outputs on the head, no dedicated remote output on the head, found a 12V dedicated and a 12V switched should it go to one of these?

Thanks in advance.

Just use an accessory wire as the turn on lead, switched power for the radio or ingition wire. As far as rca outputs you will either have to wire a loc or use high level inputs on the amplifier if it has them.

I'm also a newbie do I need to run my power lead off the battery or can it be done from inside of the cabin?

and make sure you use a fuse or circuit breaker at the battery when running your amp power wireposted_image
