Hi,

Just wondering if there's a way to rig up a push start ignition on a 99 Chevy Cavalier?

All you need to do is add normally open pushbutton to the start wire on the key switch. Or if you wanted to disable the key start completly just cut the wire to the key switch and wire it directly to the pushbutton. I don't see why people want to use relays and 60A toggle switches all the time. All you need is a pushbutton.

I have a setup designed for a much older car, but I am sure it would be fairly easy to make work in a newer car as well...I use my alarm to activate the "accessory" position of the key via a relay...if you want a copy of this diagram I may be able to scan it for you...

let me know...
