Can someone tell me if they know of any place to get a manual for this alarm online? Code Alarm's website doesn't work anymore, and I've looked everywhere. I also have a few questions since I know I probably will never find a manual for it. Doe's the Siren(-) output go to the black lead on the siren and then the red goes to +12v? Would that +12v be the constant power or the switched +12v output from the unit. Would the valet switch and disarm button go to ground from the unit? I have 2 leads that say Trigger(-), would i use one of those to go to the door trigger(-) lead in my car? If anyone out there has some information on this alarm system, I would be so happy and greatly appreciate it. I bought it new, but it didn't come with any directions other than the wiring diagram on the back of the brain. THanks so much for any help anyone can give me!

  • The siren's 12 volts has to be constant.
  • The valet need one ground and the other coming fromt he unit will be (+)
  • Use one of the (-) trigger wires for the door and the other for the hood/trunk
  • If you can give us the other wires that are on the unit's case we can help with those as well.
  • Here's a wiring diagram for the car and all you need to do is to match the wires on the harness with the wire colors on the case.:

Thanks so much for your help. The alarm is out in my car and I just got home, I'll look at the wiring diagram tomorrow. Some of the wires i remember are (+) trigger, switched 12v (would that go to the ignition?), door polarity, parking light polarity, parking lights, interior lights, interior light polarity, door lock motor, door lock switch, door unlock motor, door unlock switch, 2 (-) trigger (you already explained that one), 2 aux out. I'm guessing the triggers are inputs and the aux out would obviously be outputs for other things. I messed with it some today and the alarm goes off when I put power to the unit, the only way I can get it to stop is by using the valet switch. The remotes don't do anything. Is there something I could be missing in the wiring, or could the remotes need to be programmed, and if so, any ideas how to do that??? Again, thanks SOOO much for your help!!!

Until you post your wire colors on the alarm, I can't really help you. Post the wires and the colors and we'll go from there.

Ok, here we go:

1 - BLK/WHT - PARKING LIGHT POLARITY

2 - ORG/BLK - PARKING LIGHT

3 - YEL/BLK - ILLUMINATED POLARITY

4 - 16 GA YELLOW - ILLUMINATED ENTRY

5 - BLACK - VALET SWITCH (THAT'S A TOGGLE SWITCH)

6 - BROWN - DISARM BUTTON (THAT'S A PUSH BUTTON, PBNO)

7 - 20 GA GRN - (-) TRIGGER

8 - 20 GA YEL - (-) TRIGGER

9 - BLK/GRN - AUX OUT (-)

10 - RED / BLK - DOOR LOCK POLARITY

11 - BLK - GROUND

12 - TAN - TRUNK (-)

13 - BLU/BLK - LOCK (MOTOR)

14 - 16 GA BLUE - LOCK (SWITCH)

15 - GRN/BLK - UNLOCK (MOTOR)

16 - GRN - UNLOCK (SWITCH)

17 - 20 GA BLU - SWITCHED +12V

18 - GREY - LED

19 - WHITE (+) TRIGGER

20 - ORG - SIREN (-)

21 - PINK - AUX OUT (-)

22 - RED - +12V

THEN THERE ARE 2 SENSOR PORTS, ONE HAS 4 WIRES, AND THE OTHER HAS 3 WIRES (IT'S CALLED SENSOR PORT, ARMED OUTPUT (-) )AND THERE'S A PLUG IN THE BOX THAT FITS THAT PORT, BUT IT HAS 1 BLACK WIRE COMING FROM IT. THERE'S A BLADE PLUG CALLED STARTER MOTOR WITH A WHITE WIRE AND ONE CALLED STARTER KEY WITH A WHT/RED WIRE. I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU HELP ME. THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP!!!

The BOLD lettering is the wires that you need to hook up on the Civic to the Code Alarm. I'm not sure about the sensor ports probably a dual zone impact sensor and a perimeter sensor input. As for the blade plug, it's a starter diasable circuit and from the sounds of it, it may have a relay built into it. All you need to do cut your starter wire in half ( BLACK/ WHITE ) and attach the KEY side to the STARTER KEY and the motor side to the STARTER MOTOR. Try to start your car after doing this, if it does start then there is a built in relay if it does not start the you will need to wire a relay in place: https://www.the12volt.com/relays/page2.asp#sk1 but make sure that you try this after everything is installed and working.

1 - BLK/WHT - PARKING LIGHT POLARITY Hook this up to a (+ ) power source

2 - ORG/BLK - PARKING LIGHT --------------GREEN/ RED (+)

3 - YEL/BLK - ILLUMINATED POLARITY---------------Hook this up to GROUND

4 - 16 GA YELLOW - ILLUMINATED ENTRY----------- LIGHT GREEN/ RED (-)

5 - BLACK - VALET SWITCH (THAT'S A TOGGLE SWITCH)

6 - BROWN - DISARM BUTTON (THAT'S A PUSH BUTTON, PBNO)

7 - 20 GA GRN - (-) TRIGGER ----------------------# 7 & # 8 can not be both (-) triggers. Only one can be a (-) and the other is a(+). Check these two again and then grab the wire that comes off the driver side door switch and connect to the one that is (-). Tape up the (+) trigger wire between the two

8 - 20 GA YEL - (-) TRIGGER ----------------READ ABOVE NOTE

9 - BLK/GRN - AUX OUT (-)------------------ This is a wire that will allow you to add such things as a power trunk release or control any device with a relay that uses a (-) input.

10 - RED / BLK - DOOR LOCK POLARITY---------------- Hook this up to GROUND

11 - BLK - GROUND------------------- GROUND

12 - TAN - TRUNK (-)----------------- (-) trunk release signal if you have a power electric trunk release

13 - BLU/BLK - LOCK (MOTOR) ----------- NOT USED

14 - 16 GA BLUE - LOCK (SWITCH)--------- GREEN / WHITE

15 - GRN/BLK - UNLOCK (MOTOR)----------- NOT USED

16 - GRN - UNLOCK (SWITCH)-------------- GREEN/ RED

17 - 20 GA BLU - SWITCHED +12V---------------------- BLACK / YELLOW

18 - GREY - LED

19 - WHITE (+) TRIGGER ------------- For any point of entry that outputs a (+) signal . Trunk light for example

20 - ORG - SIREN (-)---------------- To (-) wire on siren. You will need to attach the other wire on the siren to 12 volts constant

21 - PINK - AUX OUT (-)------- Refer to wire # 9 . Same wire characteristics

22 - RED - +12V------------------ WHITE

thanks so much for this information. I'm going to go out and work on it now. One thing though, 7 and 8 both say (-) trigger on the wiring diagram on the side of the brain. I'll post when I'm done working on it today to let you know how things go.

That would mean then one is for the HOOD and the other is for the door. You will need to use #19 for (+) trigger door, but seeing that your car is a ( - ) you don't have to worry about this.

ok, I just wired everything up, everything appears to be working. When I plug in the wiring harness to the unit, the alarm goes off, the parking lights blink, but the remotes don't do anything. I have to put the key in and turn it on then press the disarm button to stop the alarm from going off. Could the remotes need programmed? I have no idea how to do that if that's what it is.

I do not have access to the programming manual for this alarm system. Chances are if the remote control does turn off the alarm, but only when the car is in the ignition position the remote will not have to be programmed. Make sure that your # 17 wire is in fact a switched 12 volts and that your # 22 wire is a constant wire.

I fixed the problem and it works perfectly fine now. The remote needed programmed. I figured that out myself too. All you do is turn the key to "ON", press and hold the first button on the remote and then press and hold the disarm push button. After about 15 seconds the alarm will chirp. Just keep doing that for each button. Thanks a lot for all of your help!!!
