ok velocity i have people giving me mixe dthoughts on this and i need yours to finnaly decide what to do. Heres what im planning, im gonna try the dei 555t and see if it works on the acura i told you about before if it does great then im done if not then i will have to pick up that module from you. NOw heres the question when i try the bypass module and if it dont work will it hurt any electronics in this car? I dont see it doing anything but some people are telling me different things here and i need your opinion before i do anything.
If you hook up everything properly and it doesn't work , you will not damage any of the electronics on the Immobilizer module or the ignition wires. The only way you will damage the electronics is if you short out a power wire while installing the module or you cross a wire. If the module doesn't bypass the immobilizer system properly, the starting sequence will begin and then it will either do nothing or it will engage the starter but not enough to start the car. No different than the Passlock III systems where if you do not have the proper resistance the car doesn't start... no damage. If you've heard otherwise, check to see why and how from the other sources and if your really concerned about this, call up the manufacturer of the immobilizer bypass module and ask them the same question that you asked here, doesn't hurt to ask
