I ripped out the stock double din stereo out of my 84 Celica GT Hatchback and noticed two wires coming out of the back of the stereo that I can't figure out. The wires are WHITE/ black and WHITE/ red or brown (Color Blind)... I also noticed a metal box under where the stereo sat that has Fujitsu Ten Limited with the numbers 86280-14100 and VMA-108A 12 volt negative ground on the sticker. I have to wonder if this is an amp or something to that effect. I don't want to remove it if it is something needed by the car. I have pictures of all the wires and the box before I buttoned things up on my web site at https://www.park-flyers.com/celica/
Thanks, Jeff
The box under the seat is an amp. If you're not too sure what you're doing I would suggest running new speaker wires to all your speakers.

The box is not under the seat. It is right underneath the stock stereo in the center console.
Thanks, Jeff

I figured out what the little box is under the dash. I pulled it out and did a little surgery and figured out its is an amp with built in filter that ran a small subwoofer in the car. The sub had been long stolen some time back in 85 and the amp was left behind. I know this becasue my aunt was the original owner of this car. I'm going to yank it out and run all new Monster wire for the speakers as the factory wires are a little old and could use some updating.

It's about time someone asked that question i was wondering the same thing i was going to ask but i figured i'd just post the question about the female installers. good question dan mc.
