Hi ive bought myself a pic programmer only im having a few problems with it.

it is designed to run on a serial port but i dont have a spare one, if i was to get two printer cables and cut them in half and resolder tem so that i was left with a cable that has to male connectors on this could i use this cable with the correct gender changer to run my pic programmer thru my parallel port?

cheers

chris

you have two cable lines go in...one to the computer.

theres a knob..that switches the output from A to B..

i think thats what your looking for......but couldnt you just unplug one and plug the other in? Be cheaper.

Or What about adding another serial port?
