Im installing a 2002 JVC Stereo into my 90 golf and im having trouble finding the +12v power wire. Heres what i've done:

Black wire from stereo - fat Brown in the car

Yellow wire from stereo - fat Red in the car

Red wire from stereo - ???? where does it go?

There is a thick BLACK wire at the ignition column that is your ignition wire you want to attch the red wire to on the JVC. Test this wire before you attach it to the palyer to ensure that it has power when the key is turned over and off when the key has turned to OFF.
