I want to buy a cordless soldering iron for occasional use. Which is better, butane or rechargeable? Best brand? model #? easiest to use? Suggestions? Thanks for your input.

well depending on which one you get I have teh YAKS 22 I believe it's the smaller of the 2 Snap-On sells and I got mine for $50.  They should  have the iron in a kit or individually....if you get the kit it'll run about $100 Hope it helps

I have the T110k and PPSK from matco. Love them to death, both work great, filled up, you can leave the iron on the entire job and it will stay hot and never run out of gas. I liked the PPSK so much, i got the T110k, the PPSK has a few more tips, is a little larger, but the T110k looks good and is easier to handle(imho) good luck

I love my blue point soldering iron, but it doesn't have a lifetime warranty, only one year. The type you light with an cig lighter igniter suck.
