Got a question for everyone out there... has anyone ever Swaped a standard climate control for a electronic auto climate control in a 02-04 trailblazer??? Found one cheap at junk yard but don"t know if have to do anything else other than replacing the main unit. I have done a cruise control upgrade and it was as easy as plugging the switch in. Just wondering if anyone else has tried this yet?? or even tried it in a chevy truck possible sure they are close to same set up... Thanks...

the whole dash is clips....tear it off and have a look..... if it's the same plug, it'll likely work. if not, don't even try.

The thing to be careful of is the 'suitcase' assembly- more specifically, the motors that control the flaps and vents. There are also other sensors that fit into an automatic system- for example, floor level temperature- that you won't find in a manual system. I would check this out very carefully before I did this. Talk to the dealer A/C tech- they'll know.
