I have a 1999 Toyota 4Runner. It has a keyless unlock device. When you lock the door it beeps once and when you unlock it beeps twice. I find this very annoying an want to disable it. Does anyone know how to do this. Do you have to go to the dealer and plug it into the computer to get this feature changed?

Is it the horn honk or is it a siren chirp ?

the piezo is in the pass. side engine compartment near the fire wall.
