This is probly a dumb question and has been answered before but does the voltage matter on resistors?

I am working on a home audio reverberation amp and I believe it has a few bad resistors. I am using a DMM to test the resistors when I cross referance the color bands. I am unsure if the voltage matters between AC and DC when it comes to resistors.

No, it doesn't matter, if you are talking about determining the resister's value.

Ok, thanks.

I am looking up the values of them and checking them to see if there are within the +/- range and some are not even close of what they are supposed to be. So I believe these are the culprit.

Burg,

If you are trying to check the resistance (ohms) across the resistors while they are still connected in the circuit, they will most likely NOT read the value that the color code is marked. It has to do with the resistor being connected in series or parallel. The only way to check the value for sure is to desolder one side of the component.
