i just installed an alpine 1003 and 5205 dvd in my 95 maxima...the problem is when i play the radio all the speakers would have sound...but when i play a dvd, vcd, or even a regular cd there is only sound in the rear speakers...and the volume is always constant...it does not change where if i increase or decrease the volume...there is absolutely no sound in the front speakers...when i crank up the volume there is only a loud hiss...where did i go wrong or what is the problem...manual doesn't help...may be ya'll can ....thanks

Do you have it in the right listening mode ? It may be in Dobly Digital or 5.1 and you won't get very good sound when playing a CD or DVD. Change it to stereo on the CVA unit.
