I don't know the right way to remove/unhook the hood wire pin that is usually under the dash/steering wheel. Each time I do it, it takes me forever and am sure there must be an easy way to do it. I'm afraid to break the cable at the joint or something. Thanks.

It all depends on the vehicle.

I worked on 3 toyotas(corolla, camry and highlander) and one honda (accord) and a lexus rx300, they all had similar cable ends like T connectors. I don;t know about other cars. Different lengths perhaps, but similar T ends, located near driver's kick panel.

I just want someone to give me some tips on how to remove that pin easily. Anyone knows?

If its the connector Im thinking of all you have to do is use a set of needle nose plyers to pull the cable itself to pop the hood. Once you have alittle bit of slack you turn the t towards the ground until you can slide the cable out through the provided cut out in the handle. Kinda hard to picture but If you look at the car after reading this you should understand

Ravendarat, thanks. That was exactly what I was asking. I tried it yesterday and it worked like you said.
