louder bass when windows down

why is it that the bass in my car gets louder with the windows down even just a little bit?  Thanks all -C-

you got a rca adapter? just turn down a little whith the controls in the same adapter.

I tried to find the website....It was a link in which I went to from a forum...everyone was putting a list of good links and websites to goto for information...and also had a post of good books to read...any how I have at home a print out of test that a site did with the box postioned here and there....trunk open...window up-down etc...I will look for it and then post back but intil then hopefully someone can give you a reason...It was dealing with waves though....

What kind of car/equipment?  Its difficult to find a solution with 10% of the problem.  Assumming you have a fairly standard in stall, you may have a phasing problem.  The other choise is your creating to much pressure in the cabin, when you vent, the sub have less resistance, and move easier resulting in more volume.  You could be low on power.

I find that most cars do this. I never really put much thought into why they do, I always just accepted it as a fact. If there is a clear cut answer that sounds reasonable Id like to know as well
