I have a 1995 Oldsmobile 88 Royale with the 3800 series 3.8L V-6.  When I try to start the engine when cold, it acts like it's being choked and dies, The colt and temp sensor lights flicker on and off (no problems at all when the engine's warm).  Could this be the problem of why it doesn't want to run cold?  Suggestions on how to fix it?  I have already replaced the fuel filter, the ignition coils, and the ignition relay.

Problem with the distributor maybe, try cleaning the contacts? I assume it is fuel injected. I would also do a basic tuneup.
