I am planning to hookup one 12in. MA Audio DXI.  It is 600 watts max and I plan to put it in a sealed box(is this the best for deep bass?).  does anyone know the best dimensions and wiring for this small starter project.  Also any suggestions on a good resonable priced amp would be great.

well post back with the rms rating of the sub....

that will help us out more

also the sub manual should have a recomended sealed enclosure size...also let us know what size in cubic feet it is... thanks

generally a ported box will play deeper but the sealed box gives you a tighter response. If you want deep go ported.

It is a dual voice coil 600 max 300 rms.  I am thinking of putting a alpine 350 on it for now(good or bad)

Thanks for the help

....just make sure that the amp you get is 2ohm stable....the alpine will work just fine for you....
