There is an add on The12Volt site with a link to a test light.

Anyone have experience with this device and the maker? Lastly the price seems a little steep for such a simple design.

The piercing flang does look pretty decent though. I will more than likely stick to using my Fluke DMM for the bulk of the work any ways.

Your thoughts . . .

I have no experience with the device or the manufacturer.. having said that..

 For a *good* quality test light the price isn't bad..

 Some questions;

 How are they sure it's ok for air bag circuits?.. How much current can the Elite sink and source when you press the buttons? Why is there a ground clip at the end that plugs into the cig lighter? Why does it only make sound when ground is probed? A different tone when probing 'hot' would be nice.

 I use various probe tips/adapters for piercing wires.. my personal favorite is a 'bed of nails' type.

 LED test lights have a purpose, but I still have a need for the old incandescent type.. they draw more current and load the circuit better (when that's important).

 Regards,

 Jim
