Hi,

Wondering if the passenger seatbelt reminder sensor located in the passenger seat, specificly an 04 Tundra, has any control over the deployment of the airbag.

I don't think it would. The air bag should deploy no matter what unless there is a switch in the dash that can disable the airbag for the passenger's side, it is specifically designed this way to disable the pass airbag for a child seat.
