i'm having real issues in trying to remove my rear dash of my 2000 2dr coupe

basically i'm trying to install some new 6x9's, but i have had little luck with removing the dash to access to the stock ones ... anyone have a clue ?

You have to take the seat out and pop the clips and should remove easily then just unscrew pull out and rock and roll. (I believe!)

when you mean take the seat out, you mean drop them down ? (the rear ones of course)

which clips are you referring to ? i've noticed 4 some what "larger" white pegs which might be the clips you're talking about ...

any clue ?

i just read a reply from email saying there is another way to do it ... but it involves literally prying out the grills, which i thought was a good idea at the time ... BUT it's kinda permanent

basically you can access the stock speakers like that, but you can't securely attach the grills back on without some rattle (i'd rather have it in one piece)

Whatever you do do not pry out the grills. They are welded onto the speaker grill mounts and like you said.... if you pry them you will get rattles like crazy.

what colour are the clips that hold the rear dash down ? i found four white clips that are kinda rounded (which i have no clue how to remove), and many other off-white clips that i believe are used to tie down the wires ... i tried using pliers to squeeze the white clips and tried to push up, but i couldn't bunge it ...

any clues ?
