Hi, I have a 2002 Dodge Dakota and need to know which wires from the multi-function light switch are for the dome light and cargo light. I am installing the factory bed light/power outlet but it is for a 2000, so I am concerned that the wire color may have changed. I am going on a trip this weekend and don't want to take any chances of ruining something. Please help.

thanks jfk for posting the chart. The problem I have now is that the info refers to "The driver door trigger is tan in connector 2, pin 15. The passenger door trigger (and rears on the 4dr) is tan/red in connector 2, pin 13. Use both and diode isolate each. See directfax document #1076 for wiring information." I went to the directech site but can't get in w/o pswd, so I am not sure what is required.
Just in case this is not really what I need to do, I will reiterate. I want the bed light to come on when I use the factory unlock, which makes the dome lights come on. I also want to be able to use the dash switch to put it on. The instructions that came with the light refer to the white wire from the light switch, but it is for a 2000 and mine is a 2002. The white from the switch does not work. I found the ( - ) going to the dome light and spliced in there, but now after I shut down and close the door the radio has power to it and if the radio is off, the clock is on. the factory light has 3 wires, one ground, one power one to connect to the ( - ) for the dome lights. The power is spliced to both the light and power outlet at the fixture. Any help would be appreciated. This has taken way too much time already.

thanks for the help, The wire I needed was the yellow with red stripe on the center connector of the timer module. That is the cargo light ( - ) switch wire. I called the forman at the dealer just to make sure I didn't ruin anything.
