RECTANGULAR ENCLOSURE VOLUME CALCULATOR 20W x 14H x 14D x 0.75T = 1.6728 INTERIOR VOLUME

TRIANGULAR ENCLOSURE VOLUME CALCULATOR 20W x 14H x 14D x 0.75T = 0.8364 INTERIOR VOLUME - (((W-(2*T))*(H-(2*T))*(D-(2*T)))/1728)/2

The above formula calculated half the volume of a rectangular enclosure. This example creates a 19.4% increase on volume. The shorter the H and D, the greater the difference. Changing the width has no effect on the percentage.

REVISED TRIANGULAR ENCLOSURE VOLUME CALCULATOR W20 x H14 x D14 x T0.75 = 0.7005 INTERIOR VOLUME This formula is most accurate! (((W-(2*T))*(H-T-SQRT((T*T)+((H/(D/T))*(H/(D/T))))-(H/(D/T)))*(D-T-SQRT((T*T)+((D/(H/T))*(D/(H/T))))-(D/(H/T))))/1728)/2. The diagram shows a side view of a triangular box and an expanded side view of a corner. The red area was not calculated out in the first formula. The two yellow triangles in the expanded view are equal in size to each other and equal in dimensions to the larger interior. The lengths of the sides of the yellow triangles are calculated and subtracted from the outer dimensions. Both formulas were created on an Excel worksheet and various models built to test the new formula.

Oh yeah, can the revised formula be added to the calculator section, replacing the existing one?
