Hey,

I currently have installed in my car 8 Ga. wire for my previous amp. I am told that I will need 4 ga. wire for the JL 500/1. Is it ok if i just add another 8 ga. wire so i have two 8 ga. wires instead of one 4 ga. wire?

You can run 2 seperate 8 guage leads and as long as you terminate them together at battery and at a block of some sort you will be fine it will be the same as one 4 guage wire. But dfefinately want a 4 guiage or 2 8 guage for an amp of that size like the 500/1.

dont forget that the fuse at the battery has to take care of both 8 guage wires.
