I have a 92 Mazda 323, 1.6L Manual transmission. Had a used engine dropped in 4 months ago. I can't start the car now. I have spark to the plugs and engine to the rail. I replaced all plugs, cap and rotor. I had a garage perform a diagnostic on it and they said that the ignition coil and module needed to be replaced. I checked the resistence at the connector of the coil and across to the post and all resistence is with in specification. The connector should be .8 to .99 ohms and I got 1.2 ohms. I plan to change the module tomorrow. Am I going in the wrong direction. Could it be the pickup coil in the distributor?
if your ign module is bad your car will not have any spark to your plugs if your coil is bad your will also not have spark but you do have spark to your plugs so there would be no problem there do your have fuel reaching your injectors if there is no fuel car will not start did your car just die on you where you drive when your car died on you does it crank and crank and just wont start need more info
