I'm planning to buy two neons to put under my dash and I would like pretty much them to light up when I open any of the 2 front doors. I know this question has been asked a lot of time, but I'm a newbie for electrical stuff in my car and I just want to do it right ! So, will it required a check on each door or can I use for exemple the door open icon on my dashboard !?

By the way, I got an alarm system ... I dont know if that could help !

Thanks

Just pick up the negative switching door switch wire and use this to trigger a relay. You can then switch a negative or positive from the relay to control the neons.

eg.

Connect terminal 30 to negative
terminal 85 to your door switch wire ( switced -ve)
terminal 86 to  positive 12V

terminal 87 to the negative wire of your neon
Connect the positive wire of your neon to positive12V

Thats it...

Does the negative switching door switch wire control both the fronts doors ? 'Cause I want my neon to light up whenever one of the two fronts doors open. Also, if I wanna have a switch that can light them up no regard to my door, can I just bring another wire to pin 85 from the ground (negative) with some diodes ? Also, that circuit is for negative door trigger I suppose ... If I have a positive trigger, I just use the ground instead of the 12V on pin 86 and inverse 85 and 86 (85: 12V, 86: ground) ? By the way I got a Mazda Protege 2002 !

Thanks

oh by the way your wire is BLACK/ blue drivers kick panel and it is a negative. This wire will control all doors so whenever any door is open the neon will come on.
