Make sure the harness is securly plugged in, double check the fuses in the back of the head unit.

And make sure you have connected both power leads.  Did you use a wiring harness adapter?  What car?

Check to make sure you have 12V to the memory wire with your meter between the memory and the ground wire. DON'T stick it to ground, cuz then you won't know if you have a complete path there. IF you don't, then check it to ground on the car. if you get power you have a bad ground. IF you have power turn the key to ACC and check to make sure you have power between the ACC and ground wire. IF not and you had power with the memory and ground then your ACC wire connection is bad someplace. you need to use process of elimination to figure this out, don't just jump and say that the HU is bad.

i installed the HU in a 97 integra. i would prefer to use a wiring harness but the previous owner already cut up all the wires..i had to get the schematic for my car and go from there.
