Not really.  Just would make me curious what you have-which looks pretty good.  Heck i'd be interested in a chick that likes a loud radio.

I dont see too many females deep into the audio hobby around my area.  Maybe a different HU, but never all out with different speakers and subs.  Maybe they are just jealous cuz your system rocks...and prolly, since that you dont see many females in the hobby, its invading "our" area.

What you need is to find a nice Canadian guy....... there are lots of us up here. Our population is way lower than the US and we actually have clean air and water, if you don't mind the occasional beaver and deer going through your yard..... Too bad that we do not have more women in competition, I am lucky to have a couple of good female customers that enjoy their music (one to the point that the entire town enjoys it as well).

God, there are to many deer here in Iowa.  Its a death trap in the fall, lots of people really hurt there cars hitting a deer at 60mph- that'd be like 100kph for you up north.

I'd like to see more girls with stereos.  Maybe they don't know what its like to be in a car with a good system.lol

It's nice see girls, ops, I mean women in this area.  We find there are two kinds, the ones with good stereo's, and the kind that let their boyfriends/Tim Horton installer seperate their money from them.  The first group is great, they know what they have and what they want and have "researched" and don't let their ego's get in the way of good decisions.  The second group, we tend to loose, they've been taken advantage of ( I was going to use another term) and are gun shy.  Its amazing what a collection of junk they can come up with, and how lucky they are that their car hasn't burnt.  In our shop, we tend to do a little extra for the female. ( no, because they are more loyal )  As "pro's" in the field we need to make sure to treat them right, they are our last big market to tap.  We started training a female installer at one time, we would like to see more.

Girls are the second group... Women... lol are the first.. posted_image But, i totally understand what you are saying about the second group.. Though.. I do blame them somewhat.. because of the fact that the info is out there they just don't want to look for it.. It's cool that you guys do "a little extra" for them b/c of the inexperience .. I wish I could find schooling or a "trainer" to hone my skills in the car installation field... I would really like to do that as a job for now until I get out of school... but who knows... I'll just continue to do it in my drive way for now :o)... Just wish there was a guy around here, ok let me rephrase that.. a decent guy... with the same hobby as me...

It's possible to do just not common.  Over 15 years I only had three women work for me and one of them was my girlfriend, she used to take great fun embarassing guys on the street when she took my car out and they would try to bump their system with a girl in the car with them and hers was louder.  Unfortunately some of the not so feminine comments have a little merit as one of the others was a lesbian, great worker but she was more 'one of the boys', her partner was the feminie type.  Last one was one of the best sales people I ever had.  Young guys thought she was cute and if they didn't know what she was talking about would just agree so as not to seem stupid about a guy thing and the female cusotmer loved her as they didn't feel like they were being pressured by a guy.  Only ever had two customers be rude because they were girls and both were pretty quick to get out after I got at them, I don't like rude people and sure as hell won't have my employees put up with them.

OK I'll stop rambling now.:)

Six thousand dollars.. what do you have in ur trunk?

Well.......where to start, lol, Kenwood Excelon HU, Zapco SX-SL preamp/processor, Zapco 750 on four Cerwin Vega 12s, Zapco 200 on left side/Zapco 200 on right side. Both running mixed/mono to a set of MB Quart Q-series components in fornt and a set of Q-series midbass in rear........

I think that covers pretty much the most of it, lol, Just the symbalink cables in my truck are close to 300 dollars worth!!

*chuckles*  i have an ITTY BITTY sound system in my 69.  no room up in the front for any speakers what so ever, maybe in teh door panels, with much modifcation.

in the back seat, which is actually just a luggage shelf, i put a 400 watt lightning audio doo-icker amp, with a pair of 8s, along with a pair of stock 6x9s from a mazda something of the other, running off my CD player...

hell, it took about freakin 3 hours to take out the old Mono channel AM radio, cut the hole bigger, custom make a bay, and install my POS Awia cd player in it... and i'm bloody estatic.  haha.

*enjoys being able to have a reasonable conversation without shouting with lady passengers*

i mean... leave shouting for fights, not for cruisin down the strip.

and yes... that POS you saw in my other post DOES have a sound system in it now... i'm waiting for the engine to come back from teh machinists, and i'm slowly doing the bump and grind... systems however, are a love of mine, and so i can honestly say that my project car may not run, but the damn sound system works... if you rig a batter in the engine compartment...

I haven't yet see a car driven by a girl with a real sound system but that could be my fault.

Anyway, just a tiny word of wisdom, please do not damage your ears with all your successful competitions. Health is wealth.

WRT females..

from motor age magazine.. one of the writers..

"Despite changing times, despite the fact that the number of cylinders and the average horsepower may have changed, these kids love their cars and trucks every bit as much as we loved ours, and we should be out there looking for them, actively recruiting them into the industry that keeps those cars and trucks running at peak performance.

It took more than a month for all this to register, and I’m not sure it would have registered even then if I hadn’t taken my “new” Lincoln out to see just what it would do. Rocketing down the freeway at speeds I would be embarrassed to share with you, I noticed one of these little “tuners” right alongside me. The faster I went, the faster she went – until four extra cylinders and exponentially more horsepower took the contest out of her reach. After we smiled and waved each other off I started to think about whether she had worked on that little car herself.

If she hadn’t, I wondered why we weren’t working on it. And if she had, I wondered what I have to do to interest her in coming to work for me.
She had the passion. I have the opportunity. And, nowhere is it written that if Mr. Toad rides again he has to ride alone."

 Thoughts?
