Alright guys, I'll give you a brief rundown of what I have, and what I need. Just give me a one paragraph writup that gives me some direction and I'll start researching it.
I have a 65volt AC device which draws .5-1watt of electricity. I need to have constant power to this device from the battery in my car. This constant power supply needs to be interrupted by a source outputting 12 volts. IOW when this device is on... putting out 12volts I want it to interrupt the other objects power supply. I guess the relay would be normally closed and would open when a 12 volt signal is applied
The ideal situation in my mind would be to have a DC to AC convertor that is always on and draws very little power.
Any help would be appreciated, as well as links to websites where I might be able to purchase some of this stuff.
Not sure if I understand completely, but here is a shot. Wire a relay up as follows: 85 ground, 86 +12V output from unnamed device, 30 constant +12V, 87A output to inverter. Then ground your inverter plug in your AC device. When the device that will supply +12V is on the inverter will turn off.

not too sure of the question here... you want a DC to AC converter you can turn on and off with a DC signal?
what the heck runs on 65V AC? sounds like a special motor...?
anyway, the easiest method may be using a small inverter to 120, and stepping it down with a transformer... and as auex said just turn that on and off...
I must have read it too quickly, I though it said 65 watts. Where are you going to find a 65V power inverter?
