I have the FUSION 250-S head unit.  I know it is installed correctly.  For some reason even when the skip protection is on whenever you hit the gas it seems to cause static in the speakers.  It only does this when your playing a cd.  Does anybody know what could possible be wrong?

SOUNDS LIKE THE CD MECH ribbon cable may not be pluged in all the way.  If you just installed it, it is probably still under warrenty, take it back and have it exchanged.

Try connecting the ground directly to some metal

if that doesn't work.....return the unit

You only know the half of it !! Try working in a shop in an area that consists mainly of rednecks and Mennonites ! You get to see all the good stuff come through with home jobs and quick fixes.

lol

Trust Audio shops and invest in them dont do it yourself or have anyone else do it unless they are a certified tech. That way if anything goes wrong.

You'll have your warranty and garuntee.
