i have an electric fan on my car. it has a 30 amp fuze on it. about 1 time a month the plactic on the fuze will melt off and the fuze is still good, but the prongs do not touch b/c there is no plactic to support them. what can i do to stop this?

Sounds like the placement of the fuse is too close to a heat source. Route the fuse holder elswhere, otherwise that wont be the only thing starting on fire.

heat build up may come from improper grounding. check that, also.
