Buzzing noise, but not all the time =(

I finished my stereo last week.
I have installed the following:

Sony Xplod CDX-MP70 MP3 Player
Alpine MRV-F450 5 Channel Amp
JL Audio 10" W3 Sub In ProWedge Enclosure
JL Audio XR650-CS 6.5" Components (front doors)
JL Audio XR650-CX 6.5" Coaxials (rear doors)
Lightning Audio Strike Series 1 Farad Stiffening Capacitor with Digital Monitor and all Lightning Audio Strike Series Wires.

Here is the problem:

There is a noticeable buzzing noise that comes on only once in a while, when it wants to, there is really no set pattern.  If I shut the deck off, turn it back on, the noise usually goes away and then comes back in a few min.  You usually hear it when you turn the volume all the way down.  When the buzzing noise comes on, you can hear it fade in, starts off low, then gets louder.  The funny thing is, if you turn the volume up just one click, the noise gets quieter, but is still present.  I believe this is not any type of power or ground problem because of the following, the noise does not get louder when you step on the gas, and the noise can happen with the car off.  Patch cables were run on the opposite side of the car away from the power cable.

Anyone have suggestions on this one?

your getting a ground loop problem between the radio and the amps make sure you ground the main power wire the the lowest part of the floor such as where back passangers put feet. after that the two amps should be seperated in power sorces from another what i mean is where the amps are should be a fuse distribution block comming from the power cable after the power cap. you can try hooking up a relay off the remote wire. need help onthat email me at djfearny2@aol.com when repost what guage wire are you using with two amps. four is the least.
