Im back now. And im ok so my famliy, jsut got our power back only out for 2 days. Not like Frances we was out for 8 days. We had no damage here but parts of stuart has lots of damage. most those buildings are old and not up to hurricane standards. But i do have a story to tell, and how dumb some people can be.
On one of our bridges that goes over the inter costal bridge. the bridge was not in the lock position it was up about a foot. some guy drove through the baricades and tryed to jump it. The rescue people, at that time could not go out, due to the high winds. but the next day the crew found damage were we went over board, at this tiem they still have not found the car that went over, they say the winds and the waves were powerfull enough to take the car out into the ocean.
It does suck that he dead, but at the samew time its he own dumb fault waht he did. you dont jump a bridge and on top of that do it while there a dam hurricane that has up to 125 mph winds.

Good to hear you guys are OK, thats just a bad situation I dont wish on anyone. I was laughing at swamprats story till you said he died, then it became much less funny but I guess thats natural selection. I just hope that no one else was ion there and sufferewd for his obvious stupidity.

Glad to hear you guys on that end made it out o.k., really got it hard this year on your end. I just feel for the people that were affected the worst and lost everything. I guess that's the price we pay to live on the Gulf coast. Though Louisiana doesn't usually get it as bad as you guys.
